Its not them being fos that worries me cause that is a pretty easy job, it's when they upgrade to captain without the foundation of command experience.
hmmnn . . . . word.

Yeah but you know what??? if you spend enough time as a FO....you'll learn from your captains how to make command decisions...the PIC time you log as a CFI isnt anywhere near as useful

You pick up certain tips and tricks along the way....and eventually when you are the pilot flying, you are making decisions and your captain is obeying them....hes not saying anything back because he knows you are right.

But getting back on subject...Was it in fact AWAC and did the gear collapse before or after skidding off?

I was amused that one of the pax interviewed on the news commented that there was very little visibility but he was pretty sure they landed before the runway...just his expert opinion.

From the looks of the foam I'd say there was some fuel dumped... was a gas tank punctured? Yikes!

that isn't snow is it? hmmm. dont look like snow... or maybe it is. tire tracks... that pic makes no sense??? howd the AC end up in a bank of snow like that? this is of the wing strike right? wait- that isn't skywest... nevermind...

You can see the tracks the airplane's tires made in the "foam." So they sprayed the foam before the accident? The airplane must have been going sideways towards the end, which also explains how the gear would collapse.
