Default Comair Hiring Freeze

Are we the only regional that has a freeze on or are the other regionals also stopping?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think expressjet isn't hiring right now.

I dont know the definition of freeze but my 2 friends interviewed yesterday, and another one was offered a class about 2 weeks ago for Feb.......

Xjet hasnt been hiring for a while I take it, althought I did have a friend interview there and get told to expect something in the spring

I think the first week in Feb. is the last class scheduled for the foreseeable future. Not that I mind some more people underneath but why bother?

Saw this over on Jetcareers.com Not sure what Comair is up to.

Dear Applicant,

This letter is to confirm your interview date with Comair, the Delta Connection.

Your interview appointment with Comair is scheduled to begin at 8:15 a.m. on 01/30/08 at the Comair General Offices located at 77 Comair Blvd. Avoid arriving more than a few minutes before 8:00 a.m. as the doors to the General Offices do not open until that time. Once inside, please inform the Receptionist that you are there for a Pilot interview. A Company representative will be there shortly to greet you and escort you to the interview. A package that includes an application, all required forms, hotel information, and directions to the General Offices will be sent out to you via UPS as your interview date gets closer, but should you have any questions, please contact Human Resources.

You must bring originals of the following items. Please also provide copies of those indicated with you to the interview:

· Completed Comair Application
· Completed Supplemental Application forms
· Current Resume
· All Pilot Logbooks
· FAA Certificates (copies also)
· ATP written results, if no ATP certificate (copy also)
· FAA First class Medical (copy)
· Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit (copy also)
· Passport (copy also)
· Photo ID (copy also)

Your interview will consist of a company briefing, a computer administered cognitive skills assessment, and an interview with representatives from Human Resources and Flight Operations. You should expect to complete the interview process no later than 5 p.m.

We want you to spend a relaxed and enjoyable day as our guest and try to learn as much as possible about our company. We are certain that you will be impressed with Comair and all it has to offer and we are looking forward to the opportunity of getting to know you better.

Good Luck! If you have any questions or require any additional information, feel free to contact me at 859.767.1486 or email at [email protected]. I look forward to meeting you.

Sincerely,

Laurie Hobbs
Pilot Recruitment Coordinator
