That's the dilemma I'm in, I'm still so junior and was only hired in the summer that I don't have tons invested here. I told myself too that I'm just gonna stick it out while other people leave, and I still may very well do that. If I'm jumping ship though I should do it sooner than later and it's sounding better every time the bid packet comes out and I move up maybe 1 spot only to have someone else under me either go to CVG or jump ship also....ah good times good times.

Hey you're senior to me...any other prospects out there look good to you? Haha kidding...

Default Comair Store

I just saw on Epic a Comair store and all of a sudden I have that annoying infomercial guy in my head. Billy Mayz Hayz here with the Comair store. With prices this low we are practically given the stuff away.

Hey, we might want to buy out the store. Could be nostalgic like all the old Eastern Airlines stuff.

Straight from the source, my interviewer last week at Comair said hiring is at 8-12 new hires per month.

From what I know we are still loosing atleast 1 pilot a day, so it is easy for attrition to help with the reduction of flying. So much so for all we all know they may have to hire a few each month just to hold down the fort. Because remember our training is the longest, 2 and a half months, so at the rate of attrition someone hired today wouldnt see the line till we were down another 60 pilots. Anyhow until they stop interviewing and until I stop seeing "newbies" walking through ops I wont' think we are on a hiring freeze.

PIPE, Did you interview with Eagle? Heard their classes are large.

Default MP Post

I thought MP had a post on the other thread about Feb. being the last class for a while. Oh well, I may have misread that. And Paok, I'm glad you're staying put for the forseeable future. I'm tired of going backwards as a % of seniority.

Also, any new hire will not see actual line flying for quite some time. I'm not sure how long IOE is taking these days, but people were getting a month vacation waiting to start.
