From: 7ER B...whatever that means.
Wow, I was once advised never to chase an airplane...but flying the 328Jet is my DREAMJOB. But No, I guess I haven't looked at Skywest...I wouldn't mind flying for them. So I see "TGP Captial" nopw owns Midwest Air group, does this mean that at least, for now, no one is planning to buy them?

Its a fun airplane, alot better than any CRJ. The avionics beat the crj and ask any erj driver they dont have vnav, except the 170 and bigger they have the upgraded primus and they biggest change is autothrottles. besides that its a rocket with wings, we might go slow in cruise but last time i checked i get paid by the hour so i dont really care. i'm not saying this is want i want to fly for life but at a regional i could do worse....i did spend a year on the beach.

The Beech is fairly well staffed, as well as the 328 CAs. The FAs THINK they are understaffed, but they had a little attrition over the past couple months and they are running classes now to bring them back up. They still average something like 16-17 days off. FOs on the jet are pretty well staffed, I think about 15 below where they want to be.

So what does that mean? Once TGP buys Midwest with NWAs help does it all go away? Because on MidWest's website they seem pretty lovey-dovey about "we want to keep the unique service of Midwest." But does this mean NWA takes/sells all of Midwest's assets and gets thier routes?

The DoJet is 32 seats, comparable seats/size to the Saab 340...and Skyway's pay on the 328 exceeds Eagle, Mesaba (and Colgan's) pay rates on that equipment. Skyway's contract has a payscale as well for 50 seat aircraft (from the numerous times they had orders for ERJs) and the pay scales are on average with other 50 seat carriers. The 1900 FO pay scale is pretty bad, but CA wise its on par with other 1900 operators.

Small company, friendly people, MKE base (for people who live there), cheap COL, Dojet is different than the typical RJ, oh and the pilots aren't ever snotty about how great their company is. It's not always about the money for most people.
