Default Midwest/Skyway

Hi all,

Was looking thru previous posts, didn't find much. On Midwest's website they list that they are hirining FO's in "Open Positions" and the regular Drivers Lic, Comm. Multi Lic, FCC Radio, etc. But there are no minimum times listed. Anyone know what kind of time Midwest/Skyway wants to get into the B1900?

According to APC and friends with ties to Skyway/Midwest Connect, the B1900s are to be retired first quarter of this year. Profile here on APC says the 1900s are gonna be gone by February and that they are hiring with less than 400TT/25ME.

MKE is SkyWest's most junior base. Have you looked at them?

They are hiring into the 328 right now and trying to avoid any more training into the 1900 (although as of now the 1900s are on property pretty much indefinitely since Big Sky went belly up before they were awarded the EAS flying).

Wow, I was once advised never to chase an airplane...but flying the 328Jet is my DREAMJOB. But No, I guess I haven't looked at Skywest...I wouldn't mind flying for them. So I see "TGP Captial" nopw owns Midwest Air group, does this mean that at least, for now, no one is planning to buy them?

TPG is in the process of buying Midwest (with 47% of the backing coming from NWA).

I mean absolutely no disrespect to the Skyway guys...though flying a 328 DoJet might possibly be your dream job, flying it for Skyway certainly would not be...

Hi!

I just flew on them and they are way short of FAs. Probably the same for pilots.

PS-The Dornier 328 jet is A LOT more comfortable than the 50-seat CRJs or ERJs.

Since when is FlightInfo the end-all be-all information broker for the airline industry? Newsflash: just because it was on a forum does NOT make it true.
