Hey, at least JFK guys are flying. I've flown 3.5 hrs. so far this month out of CVG with 'bid to fly', but I think I've deadheaded close to 10 hrs already:p Maybe I should start logging DH time....

There's always plenty of BGR/BOS flights to go around...

Yeah things are messed up now. It seems to be hit or miss these days on flying. Diver has a fair bit and he is CVG.

I see those BOS-BGR flights in Open Time in CVG all the time, they go something like this...

Deadhead CVG-BOS
BOS-BGR
BGR-BOS
Deadhead BOS-ATL
Deadhead ATL-CVG

Sounds like fun! NOT!

Yeah, I was just wondering why those were in CVG's open time. I would understand if it involved flying to BOS from CVG first but why deadhead someone on a 2 and half hour flight vs someone from JFK. I just think it would make more sense for them not that they should.

I wonder if it has to do with cutting down on the JFK slots/flying? I'm trying to think BIG PICTURE>:D

WOW, By golly I think you're right! Not only are they cutting back real flights out of JFK they are also cutting back the fake SBS ones! Now that's clever on their part.

I haven't really been looking or seeing the trips in open times, but when I was based in JFK, they tried to DH me three different times to Boston. EVERY time my flight out of JFK would be delayed and the flight would cancel out of Boston and would have to ferry it elsewhere. It was always a thing of only 45 minutes from time of scheduled arrival to scheduled departure.

This is true, and I think you might be right. On just one day when we had a bunch of storms come through they tried deadheading me to BOS on 4 different flights all of which canceled and by the end of it I was useless to them because I would have timed out. But in my case the BGR flights would have been canceled too.
