youd be suprised how many people still cant set foot on something with air screws...
strap on some jets, even if its nothing but a fire tube, they will fly

I actually sat next to a business flyer once out of MKE. She refused to book on Skyway because of the B-1900. She wanted a jet only. So I agree, jets will attract more people the issue is getting people to pay a premium for them, which hasn't happened after 9/11 and the Expedia.com/Orbitz craze.

Forget about the fact that the Q's have props, if they only knew Johnny Airline Pilot in the right seat has 300hrs and 'ol Captain, "Ill whor myself out for PIC time" in the left seat has 1501hrs TTl time

with the price of fuel getting this high, why dont airlines just switch back to larger turbo props? they burn a half as much gas and on some routes the time difference is only a few minutes. If im flying an rj from CMH to CVG and burning almost 4000lbs to do it why not get a Q or an ATR and carry the same amount of people and burn around 2000 pounds or so.
I actually believe that this will happen. Just as our Armed Services can pull a/c out of the desert and place them back into service...so to can the airlines pull turbo-props out of the mothballs!!!!! JMO.

I've heard there's a huge market for them in third world countries sing their cheap to buy, cheap to operate, fast and efficientp; so I can’t imagine the desert being full of them.
