Proposed SkyWest Pay released

For those of you that have read the email and looked at the proposed pay increase... What do you think?

I think it's a little insulting, but that's just me.

I agree with you. I'm insulted too. My first thought is a no vote.

Looks like the bro guys got screwed again, even the rj rates still don't set any standards, just bring us up to others, almost. Looks like a no vote.

ExperimentalAB 01-15-2008 05:18 PM

Why do I feel crapped on?? My knee-jerk reaction was HELL no. Now I'm just saying no way...'aint got my vote.

So you guys voted for or against ALPA?

BoilerUP 01-15-2008 05:23 PM

Anybody care to offer details?

Yeah, so much for "I scratch yours, you scratch mine..."

I think I'm PO'd enough right now to vote in ALPA, if I had the chance, just out of spite. I'll get over it, but whiskey tango foxtrot.

Just remember last time we voted down a proposed pay package. It was 18% roughly. They came back with the Brad Holt Overide and ZERO for our Bro brothers.

We do not have a contract, we do not have legal representation. Therefore we have NO bargaining power. We get what they offer bottom line.

Really the only increase in pay was for first-year, up to $22...but we lose the 700/900 override first year, as well as the increase every year thereafter. COLA of 1% starting next year. Captain's pay doesn't change until year three, and even then it looks like they get the shaft for a few years. 20 year CA rate is up $10. PLUS they included an EMB-170/175 rate???

BoilerUP 01-15-2008 05:35 PM

Yeah, I'd say that pretty much sucks.

I honestly thought they'd at least match or go ASA +1%...
