Anyone have any tips on an Air Wisconsin interview that would be helpful?

Seems to be the trend, why hire a guy who is going to leave for the next "big" thing because he already has 3500 hours. They want you green its much easier to train you once then to retrain someone elses habits out of you. Chances are you'll stay your five years and then move on. They don't want to be paying those 7-10 year capt wages either.

My class had 2 121 guys in it. One from gulfstream, the other colgan. The other people were CFI/135 guys.

Both the 121 guys failed out of training...everyone else made it through no problems. As a side note, both the 121 guys were former PFT'ers. That'll teach 'em!

I interviewed at AWAC recently. How long have others had to wait to hear back if you get the call? I have a friend who interviewed there recently, and he never heard back one way or the other. Needless to say, when he finally called them, he didn't get the job.

So does that mean I'm going to fail out of training when I change equpiment within my company... all because I've developed bad habits while fliying the line???

Sorry.... dont think so

I had over 3500 hours of TT and 1700 of 121 turbine PIC, and they hired me. In fact they told us in training that they historically prefer higher time people with 121 experience. Now that there are plenty of Independence and Comair folks available, look for that trend to return to some extent.

I finally got the call this week, and I'll be in the class on Feb. 20th. Anyone else here going to be in that class?

Does anybody know whether or not most of their pilots commute?
