We will need tons of help, and I will be getting in touch with you about it.

And thanks again for the ride to IAD from Newark a few months ago.

interesting stuff.....my phone has been ringing off the hook and ive gotten 3 emails from colgan in one week....sent me an email yesterday asking if i was availible for interview in houston on wednesday...its such short notice that i cant make it.....im new to this and am willing to interview with whoever will give me one just to keep my options open....but to me it seems like colgan is desperate....i told them i will not be avalible until may to interview...im currently in my last semmester of college and my current job on top keeps me from having the time to interview, i feel bad putting them off but it seems like they are desperate for pilots...my current times are 520 and 150multi.. seems like thats more than enough to keep them interested these days

I am not trying to be rude but to be honest you should be still learning to fly airplanes at that amount of time not working for an airline. Serious question, How would you feel about putting your family on an airliner with a bunch of low experienced pilots? These airlines are getting out of control with their hiring practices

Again This is more of an attack on the airlines for resorting to hiring inexperienced pilots instead of paying more for experience. Its scary.[/quote]

hey no offense to anyone here, im here to learn just like everyone else...but i dont think its fair to judge somone on time alone... with my times i have already been deemed worthy for an interview at eagle...if your a competent pilot with your head on a swivel there is no problem accepting pilots with that amount of time for an interview...just my 2 cents... dont be too harsh guys....were all in the same boat just trying to make it in the world...if some low timer can get an interview, more power to him!!

Nothing i said should be offensive. Also i would expect you to say that since you yourself are low time. Let me know when you get your time built up if you still feel the same way. I will admit when i was low time i probably said the same thing but you, like I, will eventually see that it is absolutely stupid. Do you realize why you are getting calls? Its not because of your experience, its because these companies have hit rock bottom. If they paid appropriately and treated people better then they would be getting qualified apps. Just reality not an insult.

Sucks to be you.

That the thing- Colgan's Pilots get blaster for operating the Q at those HORRIBLE rates, but no one says anything about Mesaba flying the 900 for terrible rates either.

And why...because Mesaba has ALPA? They're pulling down the industry, just like all other 900 operators, just like Colgan.

You're stealing flying from mainline...SCAB!
