Delta and NWA regionals to merge too?

Comair is owned by DAL but Pinnacle is not owned by NWA. Also if DAL didn't merge Comair and ASA in the past, what make anyone think they'll do it with Compass and Comair? What would they call that merger …………… hmmmmmmm ….. Compass …….. Comair……… haaaa ....... ComAir. Another reason for not merging their regional airlines (DAL owns Comair and NWA owns Compass and Mesaba) is so that they can whipsaw one against the other.
This thread is a waist of time and everyone should let it ride off into the pages of history with all the other failed threads.

One theory has all the Wholly Owned's, or part of them, sold of to Republic for cash that this deal badly needs. Republic bought part of the US Air system in their merger, so it has happened before.
I would hope ALPA would merge the "regionals" into mainline. No more "bi directional flow through," just One List.

This is a failed attempt at being funny.
