Default Effects on regionals of a NWA Delta merger

So I hate to be that guy and start the r"oo"mer mill up but what would happen to the regional carriers as a resut of a delta, nwa merger. Theres a lot of talk of this merger and I'm curious of everyones thoughts in regards to the wholly owned, XJ, Compass etc. vs the other 11 airlines that do regional flying for both.

if that happens it would probably make even more sense then for RAH to buy up the compass thing and do all of the new airlines 170/5 flying

Why do people think RAH is going to buy Compass.

NOT GOING TO HAPPEN

just because we fly the same planes.. So what

NW loves to be in control of the regionals. RAH is a ***** who flies for everybody and I dont see NWA allowing RAH to fly for them

Eh NWA pilots won't give that up so easily, they're gonna have furloughees and expect to have positions available for them at Compass, that was the deal that allowed Compass to exist in the first place. Not that it'll help those of us already here...Fllluuusshhhhh!

I will be curious if this could de-rail the flow-thru LOA. How many pilots will be furloughed back into compass? I could see this getting very ugly.

Hmmm..... was Compass started to give NWA furloughees a place to go due to an inevitable merger? I have no proof... just thought I'd start a rumor On top of that, I don't think NWA's management gives enough of a flip about their employees to do that.
