Default Questions about Republic

Hey is Republic pretty firm on their mins of 800/100? And how difficult would it be to be awarded ORD with Shuttle America? I'm assuming you don't get to pick which certificate to fly for?

No. If you have your MEI they cave on the 100.

No they don't. I have my MEI with over 1300 total and I still have to have 100 before class starts.

I was hired with 750 and 180. But I was flying for another 121 carrier.

Word I hear now, is that they will cave on the total time, but not the multi. The check airmen have been irritated by some of the low time new hires, so I have a feeling it had to do with that. I wouldn't be surprised if insurance had something to do with it too.

People may be interviewed with less than 100ME, but will not be put into class until they reach 100.

The TT is waivable if there is significant ME experience (200+)

Just because minimums go down, doesn't mean the standards do to. Interview failures are up, washout rate is increasing, and avg. IOE time is lengthening.

Check Airmen are definately feeling the brunt of lowered minimums.

WRONG....Toledo....my roomate ( we are on sim 7 ) has 26 hours ME time. And we have several others as well, with well less than 100 hours ME. NO TT less than 1000 however.
