Default Another regional rumor...

A CA from Trans States told me that they are getting 14 ERJ's on the United side from Mesa. If you haven't heard, SkyWest has no plans to hire or upgrade in April, May or June. I think we have classes in March, but none in the months previously mentioned. I wonder if we bid on this and didn't get it?

No, I doubt we were ever involved. Different aircraft type, new-base, and just a few lousy Mesa birds...no way. Jerry's waiting for the big fish to come along.

I really doubt any more airplanes than 4

That is what my favorite mx guy told me today, and to date, he has never lied to me about a single rumor that I have heard.

He claims the are in bna and almost ready to head to stl

and if I remember right, he never said they were from mesa.

I do know he said 4 planes

I hope thats not the case for Skywest, my friend just made a lateral move there, that would be ashame if they stopped hiring....stuck at the bottom... like another person i know who made a grass is greener move to XJET to get california and a line, yet got new york (again) and more reserve since they are not hiring.... that is like the worst possibly scenario I can think of

I won't mention any airline name, but I've heard it from many people and even a few people that are at this airline that is not named....
but this will never happen as another airline will come in and undercut what another airline is trying to do. The mainline squeezes too much and knows that it can find another airline to do it cheaper.
Case in point... a certain airline was on strike to improve wages and benefits when another airline's management went to the pilot group, and told them that if they were to take a cut and agree to the contract, they would be able to take some flying from the airline that was on strike... and guess what, they did. Like I said, not mentioning any names. Disclaimer... I wasn't at either airline at the time this happened and if it is more to the story, I don't know, but like I said, heard it from many sources, even those that work at both sources...

Try again, so that someone could somehow respond to you.
