Perhaps your chief is testing you?? Your CFI ride counts, 100% certain.

Dear god it just keeps getting better. I hear we are going to sponser guys who still need to get their private. Dude , go use you cfi for a while and get some experence flying airplanes before coming here. Have another instructor give you a BFR. I'm tired of being lumped into the "new guy low time FO" crowd that all the captains hate. One piece of advice, if you do get on here, lie about your experience when asked. And you will be asked. You will not get a very warm reception here. Everyone I have flown with is fed up. Not to say that represents everyone. You will realize how inexperienced you are once you start. I did, and had almost 2000TT 500ME. On the other hand, I can't blame you guys for taknng the opportunity, but you guys with 300TT 20 ME have no business flying an RJ with 50-70 people in the back into some of the countries busiest airports. Sorry just an opinion from a lowly FO who feels the backlash from ****ed off fed up captains and right fullu so.

I told him the exact same thing. That I was 100% sure that it did count. Hell he still said no so I took his word because he isn't a small FBO type of chief instructor he has been a chief instructor for many universities and has been around forever. Ill show him this thred and see what he has to say

He'll probably charge you his standard rate for advanced ground instruction before he'll look!

So the CFI Chekcride counts as a Flight Review huh? Looks like we were all wrong. Look at this link from the FAA. http://www.faa.gov/about/office_org/.../2008/levy.pdf

Looks like it is not automatic and you have to ask for it and have it placed in the back of your log book as a light review. Wonder how many CFI's think it automatically does and are walking around without a BFR.
