BTW, where does the H2 come from?
The X-43, NASA's Scramjet experimental ran on hydrogen at ~Mach 10 back in '04. It may be a few decades down the road, but it's real.

I think Rickair was pointing out that the process of creating Hydrogen on a grand-scale does little to nothing to reduce toxic emissions. It's the plants that are primary polluters then, not the vehicles...Just a transfer of blame is all.

And btw, Experimental aircraft are cool.

Hydrogen is also a clean fuel and byproduct is water, but they are very expensive to produce at the moment. I do agree we need an alternative source of fuel like YESTERDAY. OPEC countries and oil companies are leading us by our nose. Kinda like finding yourself in a fight with thugs who's got guns and knives and your hands are empty.

Experimental aircraft are the cutting edge of next gen of aircraft.
I read that scientists are working on laser powered aircraft. It sounds really far fetched but supposedly, it is doable in the future.

Well maybe it will start getting so expensive we are forced to find an alternative. Nothing will bring the cost of oil down like an Oil replacement....the oil companies would look like this
We can and will find a replacement and this will hopefully be the final push to getter done!!

Amen. It's either that or we'll forever be held hostage to OPEC countries and oil companies.

I saw in the news yesterday that price of gas in California is now over $4 a gallon! We'll have to start riding horses and bicycles!

Its funny airlines would rather park airplanes then pass on the cost of fuel to the PASSENGERS.

Has anyone noticed the price of Exxon in Forbes? Us to be Microsoft was the largest company in the wold, then GE would sometimes bump it. Now Exxon is almost double what Microsoft is. Around 446billion worth where M$ is at around 226billion.
