Do any of you Skywest guys know if one of your CRJ-700s was doing a trial run at Aspen today??? On flight aware there was an aircraft, identified as SKW1000 with an IFR plan filed between KASE and KGJT. The track map shows the plane circling around ASE.http://flightaware.com/live/flight/SKW1000

Aspen was announced a couple weeks ago for the 700. Don't know when scheduled runs start, but for sure out of Denver, and I guess out of LAX too.

How comfortable are you with that as CRJ pilots? How do you feel about taking the 700 in and out of a 7000MSL airport with a reputation for unforgiving mountains? Are the aircraft going to be weight restricted??

The 700 has none of the performance problems of the 200. It's a rocket. It may be weight restricted, esp. on wamr days.
