LMAO... that sums up indoc... Heard from the man himself that today the answer to a disputed question on the final was written on the board, and he still had a couple of bright ones answer it wrong.

Congrats on ASA... I made the transition from corporate as well and only wish I had done it sooner. Your previous experience should make "drinking from a fire hose" more like drinking from a garden hose.

I'm feeling the same way right now, and I'm sure I'll have the feeling even more once I get started. I kind of chuckle to myself when I hear people on this board talk about there poor QOL at the airlines. I think to myself they have no idea how bad corp. aviation can be, especially at a 2 man flight dept.
I was hoping with my previous experience of Jet ground schools and Type training experiences that it would not be as rough on me, but I guess I will find out soon enough.
So I guess you are happy at ASA so far? Do they want you to study anything prior to class or just show up with a blank slate?
Good Luck with the rest of your training!!

Happier than flying part 135, getting called to fly to an airport with no FBO in the middle of nowhere in the middle of the night, only getting 4 hard days off a month, and flying for an outfit with no standardization in flight training? Hell yes. The pay is a temporary adjustment, but I can live with it. Don't worry about studying anything before you start. If you get a break between indoc and systems, then use that time to lightly review systems and study memory items. If you already have a type rating, then this is really just a minor transition into a new airplane. The systems aren't difficult to understand, and you'll probably spend more time studying flows and callouts than anything else.

Citationdrvrmob- just a quick couple of Q's- What are plane did you get? Is it true what they told us at the interview that the second class of the month is the one that has the ATR slots? I've been flying a jets for the past 4yrs so my jet fever is well over, but would like to get either the 200 or 700, so I hope this is the way that its working.
