You'll probably get the 700. We are real short on 70 FO's at this time. Scheduling will do anything to get you to your flight if you're commuting. The reserve on the 200 is much much longer than they tell you. They say 1 month but it's more like 5-6. Reserve on the 70 is over a year. If you plan to have an apartment or a really good crash pad the 70 may not be the choice for you and if you commute you may want the 50 purely because of the shorter reserve. I'll tell you right now the 70 actually flies like a real airliner and has alot more power than the 50, which is just a challenger with a 20' plug. The systems on the 70 are much more like a boeing and work much better. The 70 is by far more fun to fly, even though I have never flown the 50 besides the sim, but everyone else on line will agree. BTW, I thought the freeze was 24 mos and that only happened if you bid down in aircraft or something. Good luck with training and it's not as hard as alot make it out to be, especially with you experience. After hearing about some big name regionals maybe doing some furloughing soon, ASA seems like a good place to be.

36 month a/c lock from initial assignment, 24 month lock if you come down from the 700 and decide you want to go back...

Bid the 50, fly for a year or two, then bid the 70. You'll hold a line quicker and have better QOL. You don't want to be on reserve if they are short on FO's. They have even been offering 150% pay for trip pick-ups on the 70 because of the shortage.

Plus any SLC flying that may be done soon will be the 50. It will be nice to get a change of scenery.

So what companys would theses be? I saw Xjet is going to be offering time off so I guess this might be one. Im really glad to be going to ASA, seems like with them now being owned by SKYW that things will continue to be good.

That's not a popular expectation, but many of us feel the same way. SKYW seems like a strong horse to have ones wagon hitched to.

Default Equipment Q's

Couple of quick questions for my ASA bro's/sisters
or anyone else that knows.

1. Does the company Supply Jepps (terminal&Enroute)?
2. How many Jepp folders should I buy and what sizes?
4. What size Flight Case should I buy? Dimension?

They will supply jepps and folders.

I don't know the dimension of mine but all the ones at crew outfitters should work. Just make sure it fits in the bin to the right of your seat.

Why am I still up reading forums when I have an early duty-in? Hmmm

Eh?

A 200 flying ATL-SLC? That's going to be miserable for the pax. But - I don't care about them anyway.
