I knew we had a lot of reserve staffing when my wife asked if I could get easter off... after the bid had closed (big religous holiday, SLC domicile). I figured I'd humor her and look on sked+ before I laughed... To my amazement, there were no red arrows I dropped the whole weekend Actually it has me a bit concerned...

FAT went from 42 to 35 lines on the RJ...11 reserves in April? Looks like I'll be spending a lot of time sitting around. At least the line holders won't have any problems dropping trips this month, in March there's only one day without a red arrow, no one could drop anything...

Finally, the Skywest gang is feeling a downside to this industry. You won't always feel like you did on your first flight on the CRJ with 400 hours. But this is good since it'll make for better conversation when you get on with United and fly the heavy metal.
Seriously though, arrogance is always bliss.

You should see what they are saying on they little "Skywest Going to Buy Everyone Else" Thread. One guy was saying our ALPA merger protection in our contract would easily be sidestepped. Funny how a non-union guy is saying he knows how to get around our ALPA protections.
