Well, there ya go. If Jerry buys off on your lawyers assertions, you'll be in buyout heaven.

If we get bought by Skywest, the worst thing that will happen to all of us is if they keep us separate. I'm fine with being under the Skywest name, but only as one pilot group. Otherwise, I'd rather take our chances on our own.

"All of us" meaning all of XJT guys/gals, or does that include us too ? Could you please specify which issues would be "the worst" for us (if indeed we are even included in your thought) ?

Actually, I'm kinda interested what you think would be bad for you too. Certainly the obvious one being a shut down of XJT at-risk flying resulting in furloughs (at least that's what folks are emailing to me). I guess if we're merged and then that happens, we'll just take the junior SkW guys and put them on the street. Problem solved.

This is academic to me, so before somebody spews the usual anonymous hate posts, let me reiterate that there won't be a merging of the lists into SkW. Perhaps the (then) two union carriers will, ASA and XJT.

"All of us" means Skywest, ASA, and XJT. I guess you'd prefer to be whipsawed against one another for pay rates.

I love this: Skywest junior guys being furloughed. We both have hired similar amounts the past couple of years. I could've been at Skywest if I wanted to, so yeah it would be stupid to buy us and then furlough just us, seems like I'd rather go alone than to let you guys control us.

That's really good at helping us get our pay up

I've never once used the ever popular "w" word, and I'm hoping it never becomes part of my vernacular.

There's not going to be an ASA / SkW seniority merge. There's not going to be a XJT / SkW merge. Perhaps ASA / XJT, since they're both union.

I've tried to respond without being too smart*ss, and now I'm on attempt number 4 or 5.

I'll just refer you to the above.

And I agree with you on one issue; your company should go it alone if that's what you want.

How is cocky/arrogant to defend my company against people that just talk about its demise and taking it over and taking our flying. But, if that is being cocky and arrogant no wonder you guys get angry at me. Wow...

There is a not-so-fine line between taking an objective look at the weakness in XJT's most recent quarterly reports and salivating over getting your flying.

Doing the first doesn't mean you are doing the latter.
