Do they give you the choice of eq. and base or is it assigned to you? What are the chances of getting the E145 and BUF right out of ground?

When you interview, you can make your equipment preference known. No guarantee you'll get it, but it never hurts to ask.

There has been speculation in the past that people with ATP mins get the 170, and those with less get CHQ. It's not true in my experience. I have an ATP and got the 170, one of my fellow interviewee's had 1000+ and got the 170 as well.

But, having said all this, it is really up to what they need to fill based on their long term projections. I do know that in my interview, all 3 certificates were being hired into.

Hope this helps

AFAIK, ATL is a CHQ only base. E170's are on S5 and RW certificates only.

I heard they scrubbed the 4/1 CHQ class so maybe they're scrambling a bit and maybe that's why they haven't got to me yet. I hope haha.
I think you interviewed the same day as me!! I'm John from FL, I got a voicemail that afternoon, but Shane wasn't in the office until monday morning. I called him and he said he was going to offer me a CHQ 4/1 class, but it was cancelled, so he would have to call me back. He did so a couple of hours later and offered the 4/21 E-170 class.

and being that S5 flies 170's for delta it would make sense that ATL is a Shuttle base, which it indeed is.
