Well, at least half plus 1. So what kind of peer pressure are you yes voters putting on those that voted no for a union.

Captains being hired off the street. Unfreakin believable. So how is your on time and other stats? Obviously, with half being ****ed off I'd figure things are in turtle mode over there. BTW, those accepting off the street Captain positions clealry know they ae a pawn in this deal and in my book are borderline scabs to the industry at least in mindset. They'd be the first one's *****in if things were reversed.

Maybe SAAB should have stayed there. He'd be Captain now, plus he wouldn't have to worry about what's going on at XJT.

I just looked at the payrates on APC. $53/ hour for a turboprop Captain sounds pretty good to me. Our jet Captains start at $57/ hour, which is not much more.

$53/hour to haul 74 passengers? Doesn't the Q400 fly short-haul routes just as fast as a jet?

Year 1 pay for 70 seat jet at our company is $57, only $4 more an hour. Second, a turboprop is a turboprop, not a jet. Jet = more pay.

So a jet captain should get more, even though the turboprop captain is responisible for 27 more people.....?!? Nice logic....

27? Did you stow people in the cargo compartment?

Look at it this way. A driver driving a bus gets paid less than a guy driving a limo, even though the bus driver carries more people.

Obviously elementary math wasent your best subject....

Q400- 76 pax + 2 FA's
ERJ145- 50 pax +1 FA...

78-51= 27.....

Even though the Q has a larger cabin, bigger overhead bins, better seat pitch and legroom, and is within 5min block of a ERJ in the 400nm stage length???

And you consider that pos CRJ a limo????? lol......

But the CRJ should pay more because it has two fans in the back, even though you cant get more than 500ft/min in the flight levels....

If it has more seats the captain deserves more pay... period!
