They didn't. I'm amazed how every statement of yours is trying to justify something. Whatever it is I can't tell but you always to go to strait for the throat.

If you read his past posts it seems like he is trying to be annoying just to flame.

--tpersuit says- Colgan sucks and the sky is only blue because of our contract.

Just to clarify, our current and prior jumpseat coordinator at Colgan have not received one complaint about anyone here getting denied a jumpseat when one was open in over three years.

Of course you don't get it. Do I need to point out the title of this thread. As for flame baiting, one only has to look into the mirror.

Reference post above for why this thread shouldn't exist.

First off what does JSing have to do with contracts? Secondly you're only an FO and don't have any say on the subject so pipe down.

Seggy are you in the NE? Our current JS coordinator is in IAH and I spoke with him on Tuesday about this and he said there were a few cases where our guys were denied a seat in the NE when space was available.

He said it is not a widespread thing and isloated and he contacted the XJet JS coordinator to discuss it. The person I spoke to is B.N.

It has everything to do with it. JSing is a union negotiated privilege. Without unions creating jumpseating in their contracts we would not have that opportunity.

I lived with B.N. for a few years and is a good friend of mine! I thought he said guys where not denied, just questioned about the vote. I could be wrong. I just hate guys on the internet creating problems when there aren't any.

Seriously though, our pilot group REALLY dropped the ball last August. If I was at a union company and I saw a Colgan jumpseater asking for a seat. They would be sitting in the cockpit and educated about the benefits of a union.

You are right about the vote and I think things will change when a union passes this time as I feel it will. Also as I stated before I hope all Colgan pilots take an effort to educate those new to Colgan about the importance of a union at Colgan, rather than letting them stay for a year and find out on their own.

I hope ALPA puts forth the same effort as last year in support of a drive. This propaganda we get from the company and BC makes me sick.

Jumpseating is not contractual. It is an agreement between airlines. There are many places that don't have unions that have JS privileges. It has nothing to do with union negotiations. My union can negotiate with the airline all they want but they can't force XJT, SKW, SWA, UPS etc. to give us a ride. It's purely scratching each other's backs. CASS was made by FedEx not a union.

Sort of, JS'ing was negotiated by OUR unions long before ANY of US ever set foot in an airplane. It had NOTHING to do with the individual airlines. Even if an airline doesn't have a union, who do you thing gets that benefit for the pilots? Do you think it's the company doing it out of the kindness of their hearts?

And if I'm not mistaken, It was UPS, AA, and Alaska that were the pioneering airlines of CASS.
