Everyone got their first base choice.

Class of 40 pilots.

02 LAX - SAAB
01 DFW - SAAB (25 years old)
02 DFW - CRJ (most senior 30 years old)
05 DFW - EMB (most junior 31 years old)
02 ORD - CRJ (most senior 29 years old)
07 ORD - EMB (most junior 32 years old)
ALL SJU - ATR
ALL MIA - ATR
ALL LGA - EMB
ALL BOS - EMB

P.S. I hope that gives an idea for guys with upcoming classes. You have to choose you base first, before aircraft. So be careful! Class average age 35.
Why does the EMB go senior to the CRJ in DFW and ORD?

How long is Eagle going to be in need for pilots with mins around 350/50?

I will be turning 28 this year, what are the chances of getting ORD EMB? What are the reserve times for ORD EMB and CRJ?

More EMB's than CRJ's therefore better schedules. Better QOL. Pay for FO's is the same regardless.

Good chance. ORD is hurting for EMB FO's.

If a new-hire wanted to get off reserve ASAP, hold weekends off in about a year, and actually learn more their first year about flying in a 121 environment - the Saab would go senior in DFW.

True. New hires avg.1 month of Reserve on the Saab. Pay for the first yr is the same on the RJ and the Saab. Sadly, SJS prevails.

I just finished training on the Saab. It's the aircraft I wanted for the QOL since I live in DFW. Then again it went junior in my class... as usual.
