Colgan Questions

I had some questions for a couple of my friends I fly with .. I saw that Colgan is looking for DECs in the Q400 and BE1900. Can anyone tell me what the requirements are for the Q400? Also, a couple of guys here want to stay in the Norfolk VA are when I believe Colgan has a base. Is it hard to get Norfolk, or is that a senior base? What are they flying here, future plans etc....

Hope you like Newark...that is the most likely place you will go and when you upgrade it will be Newark because everything else is very senior

True that! Newark it will be my friend. The good news is that with the fuel prices the way they are Colgan's sitting pretty. T-Props. are the way to go with todays fuel prices.
On the time requirements: 400TT with 100ME to be competitive. But I know they have hired with 400TT and 50+ME. Better get in now before everyone stops hiring. Don't let the mins discourage you. Apply anyway. Send me an email if you have any other questions.

Thanks everyone.. These guys are in the 4000tt range with over 2000 pic. The hours weren't the problem. They just wanted to stay in the Norfolk area. Since Colgan sounds really senior here, looks like Air Whisky.

Well they would need 1000 in type for the Q captain position.

I applied and was referred to the Colgan Pilot Development Program.

Someone with 4000tt is gonna really enjoy regressing into a first class bottom feeder operation like Colgan. Not sure why he/she would want to do that. If they want ORF and a better company to work for, apply at Air Wisconsin.

Is Air Wisconsin hiring street captains? If not, you've answered your own question.
