LOL Do you get extra credit if you go through it with a family?

Damn, I saw this last night when I got home from work and there was no replies...now everyone has nothing to say related to the topic but to flame the airline. I am at Gulfstream and I havent heard anything about furloughing guys, the only thing thats doing bad is the Brasilia since its always MX. Every Captain and FO there is flying their butt off and there is still open time.
Anyhow with the way oil is, Gulfstream and their turboprops might be one of the only ones who might make it through this bump.

How can Gulfstream attract anyone to pay to fly there when regional mins have been at historic lows?

The need for PFT is hopefully a thing of the past.

Theyre super low but alot dont get in either they blow the interview the sim or they blow training. Alot of guys here come in and keep their gig with gulfstream, not too long ago I heard some guy left to mainline NWA, not to mention SWA and NKS. So if it works and you got the money do it, it a fun plane to fly and you go to pretty cool places. If you cant then do it classic and go CFI, in the end everyone is gonna wind up in the same place sooner or later.

Hey, I started the thread and made sure to mention that I heard it from just 1 source. I really hope that my source was wrong. I have a lot of good friends over there and you guys have always treated me very well when jumpseating. Hope I didnt scare ya with the thread! I was recently considering going to you guys as a street CA, and this "info" shook me up a little. If you get any more info, fill us in! Thanks..

Dude its a pretty good gig scheds are up and down but where are they not, once you get enough seniority youll wind up home everyday and block 7-8 hours. If you want time and wanna get somewhere quick do it. Alot of guys were taking off when everything was "good" in the industry and now with the slow down I havent really asked around. But yea def put in youre stuff and see what happens even though I believe they stopped hiring off the streets.

Thats how the industry is, sink or swim. Of course I don't know how student pilots will be able to survive not getting Paid and getting furloughed. Ouch its hurts when you are getting paid and getting layed off. I can only imagine how it feels to pay so much and get it in the rear after they take your money. Sounds illegal and very shady. I don't feel sorry either, in this industry they should have known it was coming.

Easy...you go from Florida to the Caribbean. I've flown international in a Piper Warrior...to Canada.
