Default Gulfstream to lay off 30 pilots....

I heard that Gulfstream Intl is going to lay off 30 pilots in the next few months. Apparently, ownership changed about a year ago and they kept T0m C00per on board as a director of opps. When his contract expired, they chose not to renew it... He was planning on expanding the operation for them and hired a few too many pilots. I feel bad for those guys who went there as Street CAs!

I heard this from just one source. Can anyone confirm this?

I wouldn't say they got laid off. Expelled from school maybe.

Not hard to believe... the name in mention? Look at the scab list

Actually if you PM me I will give you the link to the list... it certainly is interesting to see the list that ended up at Gulfstream, and how many were "alleged" to have stolen from them.

Well, let's look at the logic. When you work and get paid, if you're fired, you get termination pay. I suppose if you "pay to go to work", you have to pay the boss

Thats funny, Gulfstream is one of our clients I don't recall hearing that 30 pilots are going to be let go. We do most of their international flight planning.

well, maybe it's an attempt to let candidates feel the true woes of the aviation industry, a graduate level course in which you get to live as a furloughee....
