Why the issue with DH'ing on mainline? We do it all the time, and I've even seen mainline guys DH on our flights...

If it was AE transferring the flying around themselves, then I would think they would not care. Since it is AMR shuffling the flying around that is were the problem begins.

As for whats next.....dont know, I figure eagle will get ****ed, and there will be some sort of litigation for scope violation, then after that I dont have the first clue. Maybe just linger around in the courts. Eagle perhaps does get sold, and then suit filed against AMR and TSA may or may not be named in that suit just to make sure if there is a chance at any deep pockets the get their hands in them all for at least a bit.

On the postive side....Eagle might get their ops staffed and things go back to normal. Then us TSA guys go back to STL to wait the contract to end and see then if STL is really not profitable to AMR with a contract renewal or not.

Just my own thoughts

seems like an injunction would be more apprpriate since the grievance has already spelled out the issue.

This happens at AE/AA a lot because we are the same company, but if we were separate then ID-90s would have to be purchased I believe. (Yet another reason AMR wont divest AE)

American Adjusts Regional Network to Add Summer Flying

At ORD, Eagle will add a daily round trip to CHA, DTW, LSE, SGF, TVC, TYS, XNA and YYZ to capitalize on seasonal demand.

Additionally, Eagle will add new year-round service three times daily to Central Wisconsin Airport (CWA), a market Eagle last served in 1999.

At DFW, Additional daily round trips to BUF, CRP, GSP, JAN, MOB, and MTJ will begin June 1.

To free up Eagle resources to support the increased flying in ORD and DFW, American has asked Eagle to reduce its RJ flying in MIA (retaining 40 daily Eagle and Executive departures).

American will shift a portion of American Connection assets from STL to MIA, to improve STL profitability which has suffered recently under pressure from low cost carriers.

While the overall American Connection flying will not increase, Eagle will actually gain flying as capacity is redeployed into ORD and DFW, allowing us to fly 96 additional block hours in the month of June, due to more out-and-back hub flying.

Other notable changes in the June 1 schedule include cancellation of unprofitable flying in MIA-XNA and LGA-YHZ. Eagle will continue to serve YHZ with two daily round trips from JFK.

That sounds like a load of B.S. Am I wrong? It seems like AMR's start to divesting AE??

I think its a BS excuse as well. We are ridiculously short staffed, so why do we need to add more ORD/DFW flying? If they really were going to divest AE then wouldnt AE get the more profitable MIA flying instead of TSA? Wouldnt they be obligated to put us in a good financial position upon divestiture? You can't spin off a portion of a company without a viable business plan that will create profit.
