Question Who has the best training?

Put everything else aside

I would like to ask which Airline, regional or otherwise offers the best training?

Which airlines are respected for good training programs?

I know some of you will tout that your airline has the best training. Please tell why and do not flame other posters.

Thanks!!

Though I have not been to training for all the regionals, I have been to most of their training facilites. American Eagle probably has the nicest training facility mainly because they share the property with AA. I have been through Eagle's training program and would say it is def. one of the best out there as far as regionals go.

XJT seems to really have the ERJ mastered, therefore they did a great job. My training cycle in IAH was smooth. Good instructors, sims, schedule, IOE captains. Compared to Mesa, it was world class.

-LAMA and looking forward to the Mesa bankruptcy.

How can this really be argued/discussed? Most of us have only gone through one training program at a regional airline... hopefully no more than two and definitely not three.

Eagle=outstanding, Mesa=horrible. I've been through both. I've compared notes with other pilots, Skywest and ASA are up there with Eagle.

I was gonna say Lufthansa must have pretty good training since they can take some kid off the street and have him in an Airbus shortly thereafter, but then your little wingtip picture there made me think otherwise.

Mesaba has some of the best instructors around, and they are always willing to go the extra step to help you succeed. Just my opinion.

Like someone said above, there's no way to address this issue objectively, because most guys (and gals) have only been through one maybe two regionals.

Why not ask about the training experience and then compare notes? That will probably yield more accurate results...just my two cents.

Pinnacle's is still pretty bad. It's always been horrible, but its slowly been getting better.

I was really impressed with PSA's training, they had good one on one instruction. In ground school it's your partner, you and an instructor, that's it.
