Airsupport,

As long as you're referencing SKW as the baseline, don't forget work rules and bonuses. Pay scales are meaningless wthout the workrules...

How are your workrules?

How about bonuses...do you even get them? SKW performance bonuses are just beer money, but the financial bonuses are significant, in the thousands.

Also, when is this new payscale amenable?

yes rickair, we all know about work rules and pay at skywest, and all the bonuses you all get. no one has forgotten them or how much you guys like to remind us about them.

i will say it again. i was using skywest because they are the most recent pilot group to begin a new pay schedule. our captain pay is exactly the same at pinnacle as it is for skywest in the 900. except for the latter years, you will make a couple bucks more at skywest but that was sapa's personal bonus, our super senior guys had no say in this pay rate.

and like i said before these pay rates are put into our contract as if they were there when we signed the contract back in may of 1999. our contract is 8 years old now, and has been amendable for 3. this payscale is amendable effective immediatly. and since we are in negotiations right now, we wont sign a contract until we can agree to a new pay agreement for them.

Actually not better than mesaba but thats okay

Get some rates that are better than our -200 rates and we won't put you down. Grow some stones already, step up to the plate, and raise the bar. How is AWAC ever supposed to get new flying if everyone knows that pinnacle will fly more seats for less money... we don't stand a snowball's chance.

Not trying to be mean/blunt/arrogant but this entire payrate scale is not "our" choosing. This is an arbitrator's ruling and a baseline for the contract we are still working on. I am not happy overall. I wanted to see $100+ on the top and an FO scale higher than any -200 scale. The plane is 50% bigger (seats) and should hold a pay rate higher than a 50 seater. This is just a start and airsupport is just defending the facts that he was quick to put out for everyone to see. This fight is ongoing but in the mean time it is an improvement. A first year -900 FO still gets paid more than me and I have been here long enough to be "senior" in any base on the FO side. 2nd year pay is at least a step in the right direction. I was looking for an arbitration of 38 and a contract of 40 and a 60% CA rate overall. The -200 (in my opinion) should only be a few dollars less but still top of the scale compared to others coming up on a new contract amendable period- we are working 8 years in the past here.

Arbitrated Rates!!!

edited... i guess it wouldn't make much sense to respond to this post. obviously he didn't read any of the posts in this thread. obviously he has no idea about what is going on at pinnacle. obviously he has no idea how the system works. the reason we have these rates is we stood up to management and told them we weren't accepting their proposed rates.
