Dude there were 3 Jet U guys who washed out of new hire training recently...there was a huge class of them recently...can you imagine? 26K and no dice???:eek::eek:

On the other hand--good for the training dept...I'm glad they're holding to the standards...proof positive that regardless of whether you have all the profiles and flows memorized before coming to training there is still a certain level of experience/skill required that you can't BUY.

Yep, not that great. How much is a guy on the 75/76 worth first year? To make the point, HOW MUCH was he worth BEFORE you guys took a concession? Going by my copy, a first year guy would have made 56.00 in 2004 (the last year of your previous contract). SECOND year he would have been 131.22. Now, eh, not nearly that much.

Looking at APC, 50/hr for somebody worthy of being hired at your shop first year? SAD, and not much if you got LAX/JFK off the bat.

Who is Jet-U? Not sure I know exactly what you are talking about.

I'm pretty sure I know who you are talking about... He was in my new hire class. He's a DTW FO, that's the only one I know who has that lanyard. This guy didn't go to Jet U. If you run into him again, ask him about the time he went on a x-country with a student and ran out of fuel.

Yeah, if I remember correctly Skywest turned him down because of that so he came to Pinnacle.

Jet U is a 5 month CRJ program that charges low (or no) timers $26K to learn pinnacle's profiles and flows and do stuff in a CRJ FTD that flies hardly anything like the full motion sim. It also embodies it's students with a mentality that they somehow are better than flight instructors and night freight guys because they know the profiles the first day of class. Many of them drive expensive cars and prefer microsoft flight sim to sex and alcohol.
