Default Colgan Raises Capt pay

..on the beech. Starting June 1st beech capts will be paid the same as saab captains, this is due to the high tranistion rate to the Q w/o qualified upgrade candidates, they need to attract street hires. So hopefully we'll get a raise on the saab and Q maybe we'll see

4 peanuts, a bag of okra, and a free monthly colganoscopy

My best guess, seeing as airlinepilotcentral.com is down at the moment

Yeah but the hardworking pilots who have been with the company for years on the saab haven't had a raise in years. So street captains get more money, then I bet at the end of the year when the 1900s go away they will go straight to the Q. It'll be the cheaper way, screwing the saab guys.

Colgan also changed alcohol policy to none within 12 hours of duty. that's total crap. Won't be able to go to the bar during groundschool anymore. All because of a couple of idiots who showed up hung over.

And the daily crewtrac reminder that you can be suspended/terminated if you don't do what that daily message says.

Moral seems to be at an all time low here from what i've been noticing lately.

the 12 hour alcohol thing is funny. apparently can't perform safely with 1 beer 11 hours and 59 minutes before your showtime............ but reduced rest is cool

Beech captains will be making far more than Saab captains. They credit much more than the Saab guys do. I think it's well deserved.

Its too bad Colgan does not have a union.

If they did, I think this would be a pretty reasonable request from the union.

Can't have alcohol within 12 hours of flying? I guess we need a minimum of 12 hours and 30 minutes of rest on an overnight. Unless you are willing to change the alcohol rule.
