Might be able to change it if everyone, when called on a day off to pick up some extra time, said, "I'd love to, but unfortunately I had a drink nine hours ago." And when some scheduler says nine is fine, reply, "Have Mickey call me and give me written authorization."

Yeah but the hardworking pilots who have been with the company for years on the saab haven't had a raise in years. So street captains get more money, then I bet at the end of the year when the 1900s go away they will go straight to the Q. It'll be the cheaper way, screwing the saab guys.

It is because there is nowhere to go. I have talked to I cant even tell you how many captains that cant wait to leave but they have been having their interviews cancelled or there is just no one hiring. All of the senior captains with 3000+ TPIC are kicking themselves now because they should have left when the going was good a year or so ago.
