On the Clogan Web site it states that pilot applicants need to be willing to relocate? Do they not allow commuting? Or do most airlines just post this as a "requirment"? Just wondering.

I believe most if not all airlines have you agree to the "willing to relocate thing". I think it just ensures them that they have the ability to place you where they need you(it IS a business)... most cases you may have to be there ( base) but dont have to live there...but in some cases commuting can be difficult.
However I dont work at colgan so maybe someone else can fill you in more on colgan.

You can commute. Most of us do. However, Colgan takes the point of view that you won't and they need to be able to place you where ever initially...like Buffalo or say Presque Isle (actually a very nice base BTW).

Don't worry about it. Just give an enthusiastic YES! in the interview and within several months (3-4 at most) you can get the base you want.
