Default AE Jet Course

I've got an interview on the 21st with AE and am wondering what the cut-off is hours wise for them sending you to a "RJ Course."

On of the other instructors here was just hired at 500-something and didn't have to do the course but I'm only at 425TT and 160Multi. Course it might be a nice into...

Are there any ERJ RJ Courses or is everything like the ATP CRJ course?

Thanks!

With low times the pilot review board looks over your app and decides from there. With you're times you'll for sure have to go to a course. They have courses at ATP, RAA (Regional Airline Academy), and Flight Safety.

I'll let you know that I'd recommend trying to get into the RAA class. The instructor there is great and you learn about all the systems of jet aircraft that you're going to need to know about when you get to eagle.

There are no ERJ courses.

Unhappy

just interviewed on wend. with 490/80 and no mention of the jet course word is on the street that they are no longer doing it. Kinda sad it was one of the reasons I chose eagle however I loved the company and I pretty sure I can make it through training without it. Just got the captains review board email too and no mention of the jet course. Eagle Lounge is also reporting that it is canceled. Good Luck and remember they trained people without RJ courses for many years before and no other regional is going to give you one so just study even harder.

im leaving for the RJO course tomorrow morning at Flight Safety, my times were 510/62(and there were guys with more then that, that are headed down there with me...not sure what you mean by "There are no ERJ courses", but I'm going to have 6 hours in a seminole and about 15 hours in a full motion ERJ sim, thats what the course curriculum states and when I spoke to their representative in Vero Beach. Either way I'm excited to go!!

although my class date was moved from May 26th to the June 9th class..ah well.

Hey if they want to hire you, and you are sent to an RJ course, who cares? They're paying for it.

So they took your pulse, and the captains reviewed record of you breathing, and your heart pumping......SWEET!

With the apparent cancellation of the jet transition course I wonder what's going to happen to the people who got offers and were told they were headed to the course?

Any more information about the program being discontinued would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
