Woohoo!

Not to deflate you brother, but we got certified to fly 170/190's a few years back....big deal.

It could be a number of things, you're buying mesa, a negotiation tactic, planning on picking up our 135's and 145 EP that could possibly get released in a year and a half.

It's kinda funny a couple of years ago CHQ started flying CRJ's for CAL under the illusion of flying 70 seaters, here we are two years later and no 70 seaters in sight, and the CRJ's are going away. I wonder what CAL promised you guys?

Personally, I don't care what they got approved for yesterday. If the buyout deal goes through, it's highly doubtful you'll see any SkyWest pilots flying XJT ERJ's (because we would have to give up our scope which ain't gonna happen.) Secondly, that's also assuming that we give 51 planes back to CAL if the buyout doesn't happen (which again probably won't happen.) So, I just take that as SkyWest saying 'what if?' Doesn't take a lot to get FAA approval to fly a different aircraft.

You are purely speculating in that pea brain of yours that CAL is going to give up it's scope, XJT will lose all it's flying, and SkyWest has already been awarded a contract to fly 70/90 seat aircraft...........and this is based on? Grow up, this is the problem with airlines hiring 20 yr old, 500 hr wunderkinds.

Couldn't agree more. Slap happy is a joke
