Leaving for training tomorrow . . .

I agree wear the tie until they tell you to take it off, it shows respect and the first impression is still important. It is a professional image you still want to carry out.
Once behind closed doors loosen it up and get down to business.

I've never understood guys who think having to wear a tie is the worse thing in the world. Grow up. Are they one of the most pointless, ridiculous pieces of clothing ever devised by man? Yes. But most professionals wear them and if you tie it right and know how to buy a shirt that is the right size, then they are just sort of there. Oh, and just because you take your tie off in the cockpit does NOT mean you are a cool guy.

I have no problem wearing a tie and don't understand it when people want to loosen em up or take them off. It doesn't bother me at all. And i think you look weird if your wearing a dress shirt but no tie.

haha no but let me tell you there is nothing worse than your girlfriend calling you to say how much she misses you and wants you around and there's nothing to do but continue to study profiles.
everyone in the industry has been there. it's tough.
