Once you get your customer base setup, its all good from there! Self running business! Hope your good looking, or your clients may also be....well...

Once I get a job at a regional, I plan to take the CBEST (California Basic Education Standarize Test - or whatever it stands for)....substitute teaching can pay about $100-$130 per day, depending on the school district. And the calls come the night before, so you know your schedule for the next day.

After my friend took his CBEST, his phone would ring off the hook from about 6-8pm....subs are needed badly.

Bartending would be a blast...I may have to look into that.

Although substitute teaching high school could have perks... ^..^ (talking about those seniors about to graduate.........)

Instead of running back and forth to other jobs why don't more people just pick up open time at their airline? The investments and business plans that don't require much maintenance (income builds without a lot of direct effort) are excellent ideas. This bartending/nursing/cropdusting/cfi seems like a lot of extra effort and stress, trying to do that and fly 121.

That's funny,...I mow lawns outside of go go dance clubs for extra spending money. $3 a lawn, but the trim's already taken care of.

Have you ever lived away from home? College? Didn't that freedom taste good? Even if I wanted to go back for financial reasons, I couldn't bring myself to do it. Once I got a taste of the freedom, I just can't go back!

Who do you fly for? Eagle?

P.S. I'm 24, not much older than yourself. For the love of god, do yourself and your girlfriend a favor and MOVE OUT!
Fosters, Whats your business?
Edit: Nevermind I saw the post about the internet/media business.

I am in the same boat, Except I am looking forward to upgrading to lineholder. Here, it is ony a one year upgrade from FO RES to FO Lineholder

Where did you get the info? We have no idea when we are getting off reserve... there haven't even been any vacancies in several months now. I hate to break it to ya, but it could be even longer than that--or much shorter... there is no way to tell.

I too am hoping for the best.
