Nevets, I believe the deal for us to fly the 29 aircraft would have only happened if XJT hadn't reached a new agreement with CAL, and they then removed the 51 aircraft.

i dont think skywest will be flying for cal anytime soon now. it wouldn't make sense for cal to give xj a brand new deal and also give skywest a meger 29 planes also. that wouldn't even be worth it to skywest. all the extra training, and man power that would be required to run it would out way whatever deal they had. even our dummies here at pinnacle know that if we cant make good money if all we have is 17 900's for delta. the mx, pilot training, and other overhead just isn't worth it without a substantial deal.

I will mark this day as a historic moment. The day I actually agree with Airsupport. I think you are spot on.

The deal SKW worked out with CAL to buy XJT would have had Skywest pilots flying 29 XJT aircraft for CAL as a second separate CPA. I'm sure SKW was also pursuing flying some of XJT's aircraft if a the buyout didn't happen although the 51 aircraft threat was never a sure thing anyways either way.

oh come on wavit. i am sure we go way back, we just dont know it. as long as you werent the pilot in 987ct that had the near miss with my navajo going into pvu we are all good!

its crazy. after 4 years i can still see in my mind that little katana tail and the numbers as they flashed infront of me while i was on approach into pvu. infact i was just about to cross WAVIT inbound!!! never knew flying checks into pvu could be so risky!!

My interview is next week and I'm freaking out. Can anyone that has interviewed recently calm my nerves? Or anyone in general? Am I really gonna have to draw out a system schematic? Good grief...

I know the tech portion is pretty tough, but am not sure about them making you draw pictures.

I was there 06/05 and had to draw a scematic of the dc ac electrical and fuel system of the CRJ. They will ask you about the systems of the most complex a/c you have flown...
