Is SkyWest doing to ExpressJet what they did to SkyWay?

Then walk into your chief pilot's office and ask, and if he doesn't know then it is above your pay grade and wait for the info like the rest of us. Great post that does nothing but whipsaw two great pilot groups against one another. How would I know? I've been employed by both companies. Shootinstr8 probably said it better than me.

So I bit my lip and spoke about some opportunities in Australia with another crew.

oh, man
I don't think Koolaidman ment it as it came out.
he was thinking out load and, yes the way it came out was more suitable for a SKYW only forum as it sounds to me like a more direct question to other fellow SKYW pilots.
But there is also more than that came out wrong........
Skywest did not do anything to Skyway in any way and just saying something like it can create trouble. It was entirely Midwest Airlines that approached and wanted Skywest to take over the flying. Skywest did not underbid or do anything to take over Skyway flying other than try to give the best performance possible on the flying SKYW was doing for Midwest. Midwest wanted to continue operations with larger aircraft and saw SKYW as the right partner for it. Skyway did not have any 50 seats aircraft and did not want to get any either.
We are not doing anything against XJT in any way. It was CAL that approach SKYW and started negotiations about future flying. If a good deal is offered to you then I think any company takes a look at it but it is never in any way against any other company.
Any deal that a company accept will affect another company in some way. In the Aviation industry airlines change partners and operator all the time. I do understand that it is a sensitive time as we are all worried about our jobs so it is easy to say something that will be understood in the worst possible way but let's also give eachother a break if we say or write something that may offend.
I believe koolaidman said he was sorry and wanted to have the posting deleted. He clearly agrees that it came out way wrong.
We all do mistakes. Let's be humble about others
No one in their right mind wish any fellow pilot to loose their job or have any kind of problems and I am sure noone ment anything close to that here.......

if anyone takes whats said in an online forum to heart they have bigger problems then watching someone insert foot into mouth.

Thanks. I will say it again for shootingstr, sorry this came out wrong. I don't want growth at others expense. It is obvious SkyWest is gearing up for something in the short term. We are fat on pilots and now interviewing and hiring. When the Skyway deal happened, no one saw that coming and no one wanted it that way. I hope it isn't the same way here.
