All of the rumors were floating around about us getting more Midwest flying, and the news never came out. And then out of nowhere, it was announced that Skyway was shutting down in two months. At that point, I realized that the news was held off so that Skyway pilots wouldn't leave right away knowing that they would lose their jobs in the coming months regardless.

Does anyone think that this is going on right now with ExpressJet? I can't see any reason why we are now interviewing and supposedly hiring. We apparently have 145 manuals already written. This is about the only thing I can't think of. I guess some news will be coming in the next few months, but if the junior ExpressJet guys get wind of it they may quit now and try to build seniority somewhere else. Hence the reason to interview/hire without any announcements.

No offense Kool, but the undertone of the whole thread is screaming flame bait. Furthermore, it's going to take more than some CAL flying going away to get us to close our doors. If your concern is legit, we do appreciate it.

 

Well, I wish I wouldn't have started this thread. As mentioned before, not trying to start s..., just trying to see what is going on here at SkyWest. I certainly don't want SkyWest to grow at the expense of others losing their job. I can't stress that enough. The point of this thread wasn't to upset people or start a war and I wish they would just delete it.
