it should be an indication that you guys at CHQ/RAW can get better work rules and payrates (esp for the 170s) into your contract and still secure long term deals.....CAL is taking your CRJs out of service while securing a long term deal with XJT. What does that show you about how CAL feels about the quality of the 2 Express carriers?

It shows exactly how much you understand the agreement that CHQ had to fly the CRJs.

Touche...

My only question is will this result in concessions?

Negative..

23 total with no new deliveries to support the pro-rate.

I stand corrected, I thought it was 24.

Well.................I will say that there is a good chance they may look somewhere to reduce costs, as the CPA leaves them a lot less profit wise then before.

I also encourage all XJT's to attend the July 11th rally for our CAL brothers who are very conveniently (for management) facing furloughs during contract negotiations. Time to put the CAL vs XJT sh*t to bed and support each other. The CAL MEC throughout the past few months have been very supportive and stood behind us every step of the way

SAAB: any guesses as to what happens to branded after Oct? Are we putting the LRs and XRs back into COEX?

All depends on fuel, the loads are there, but the GAS is way too high. We are hedged great up until the fall, so then we will not only face very high gas prices when the hedges expire, but the typical FALL slow-down as well, so I think the company will take a very HARD look at where Branded is.............but again its all based on FUEL.

Like Jim always says when asked about the industry "Well.............gas just has to come down"

Yes I believe the 135's are leaving in exchange for the LR2's and XRJ's

Since it's in IAH this time around, I'm counting on attending.
