I'm sure you know by now but the EMB upgrade class is not like the RJ. In the RJ class you'll have New Hires, Transitions and Upgrades all mixed together but in the EMB classes, New Hires are kept separate from the Upgraders. Personally it should be the same for the RJ. Nothing against New Hires but when you're upgrading it's nice to be separate for the efficiency alone.

As for my bag, I have the Luggage Works 22’ Stealth, I love it and I will never put it in the back. Either in the overhead, under the last row or under the emergency row seats. I do not trust rampers, they will destroy it or leave it behind. My FLT Case is a Jepp bag I used when I instructed, it works great.

I actually have both the 22" Luggage Works bag and the 22" Strong bag.

Both have pros and cons. Zippers are weak on both, but the LW bag has more of them, and they are smaller and tend to break more often.

Where are you looking/hoping to be based at? I fly on the evening AA flight from DFW to FAT almost every week and have had good luck. I have always gotten a seat in the back (usually booked between 110-130 out of 140) and have only seen the flight booked full twice in over a year...yet I still got a seat on thoughs flights. Good luck!

Well, I assume I'll go to FAT like usual initially. After that, I'm not sure where I'll put a base swap for.... somewhere that's nice and easy to commute to... I'll be moving wherever I'm based in about a year and a half. Good to hear the DFW FAT flights typically have space on em.
