Default HSV Air Show Disaster

We were pushing off the gate at HSV when the severe storm hit. The big Army tent blew away behind us and nearly hit the plane. Many other displays blew away. Unfortunately, a little 5 year old boy died. Please keep these families in your prayers.

Just heard it on the west coast on the 5 o'clock news. Very sorry to hear of this accident. Any warning of such a severe storm coming in?

The news I just read stated their radar had no way of predicting the microburst that occured. Plus, there is no place anyone could have taken shelter.

The microburst was so strong that it lifted the 200 lb. water barrels holding the tent down. One landed next to our plane. Scary stuff.

Oh man, I was just in HSV two days ago and the weather was beautiful. Just awful.
