The sad part is that SKW Mgmnt has offered to fully compensate UAL for all expenses occurred with the rewrite and yet they still won't do it.

Quote: But what would you have us do? It has been 2 YEARS! When is enough enough? It was a matter of key strokes that put UAL pilots at the head of a jumpseat list on Express carriers.

It really boils down to two choices.
1) UAL pilots get priority over the UAX jumpseats by the very fact the tail has a United logo on it.
2) UAL pilots get SECOND priority over the jumpseat right AFTER the pilots of that one Express carrier.

Depending on how you answer this question will determine how you think about this action. No one wants this pi$$ing match, but it's never the wrong time to do the right thing.
Finally, the UAL MEC is starting to listen. The UAX letter, however poorly timed, is the only way to right a wrong.
Yes but people are forgetting that according to the UAL Software code a TSA/GoJet pilot can bump all other UAX pilots off their own jumpseat. Which means that in ORD a SKW pilot can be bumped off a SKW JS by a GoJet pilot. Now that infuriates me.

The order should go (on a SKW FLT).
1. SKW
2. ASA
3. UAL or DAL (based on which code share it is)
4. UAX or Delta Connect Carriers (based upon which code share it is)
5. All Other s

NOT: (on the UAL side)
1. UAL
2. TSA/GoJet
3. SKW
4. ASA
5. UAX
6. All Others

guys i gotta tell you. i don't think this is going to end with you getting the jumpseat priority fixed. i think it is going to end in some very bitter infighting that might cost all of you (uax carriers) your jumpseat privilages on ual.

I agree wtih that!!! Now, the thing is if you have a "jumpseater", that pilot should come up to you and introduce themselves. When that happens, if it is a UAL mainline, or ANYONE besides a SKW or ASA pilot, go to the ticket counter/gate area, and make sure there is NO ONE else looking for the jumpseat. I know it's a pain, but...
When I was at Spirit, they were having problems with jumpseats (actually still are), so I would go up to the gate area about 5-10 minutes prior to push and make sure no one was trying to get on, and given a hassle from the gate agents (especially in FLL!!!). Pain in the butt, BUT it worked.

SkyWest also offered to hedge fuel back when it was $80 and United wanted nothing to do with that either.........

How freaking expensive could it be to rewrite some computer code, aside from all the beaurocracy at United it would have to go through?

Yeah, everybody please do this. A UAL or offline UAX jumpseater should set off the alarm bells that somebody might be getting hosed...

If you're a SKW JSer and they send a non-SKW pilot down instead of you, call CS and ask to be forwarded to the CA's cellphone.

Its not the pilots' fault that this is happening, so why try this? This will end up hurting all jumpseaters in the end. Seems silly to me.

Just goes to show you how horrible UAL Mgmnt is.

I fixed your small software rewrite error.

This is what your letter should have said. It should have been a letter addressed to all UAX captains and instructed them to do this instead of issuing ultimatums and starting a jumpseat war.

I'm sure Tilton is laughing his ass off all the way to the bank now. Not that he wasn't already anyways.
