I don't buy that NWA would hold onto Compass exclusively to provide furloughed pilots with a place to work...DAL/NWA will hold onto it--or sell it--based purely on the bottom line, and not out of a sense of benevolence.

Agree. Survival = cash reserves. If NWA (or big D) needs cash, they will sell. Hopefully they won't need it.
