It's OK, they're both ALPA.

Ya, I was surprised when I read that too. Oh well, what can you do about it...

For the SkW side of the company, we've still got 22 new RJ's coming. Not going to replace the EMB-120's with the 18 new -700's.

Delta wants to get rid of -200's, United likes -200's.

Who knows ?
22 "new" rjs? or 22 worth of flying? 22 new planes seems like alot considering the nation wide reductions in flying in about 2 months.....? nevermind the industry...fall is upon us...reductions regardless

Yeah I guess since Delta can't cancel the contract yet they will use them instead of paying them for nothing. Even before the BTR mess Freedom had started making their rounds in ATL again.

So 13 RJ's and 12 ATR's. 25 airplanes gone requiring roughly 250 pilots? Ruh-roh

yeah apparently the freedom thing is actually helping us, according to the memo. It allows us to still comply with the DCI contract.....

Arnt the rj's just replacing the atr routes?

I know Tony!!! Skywest is sooooooo awesome... Oh wait, that's right, if they furlough us then the furloughees will be integrated into the skywest list should they choose... There is just no way they can park many more planes this winter and not furlough!!! I can't wait to hang out with all you guys so you can tell me how awesome Skywest is!!!

Ok folks, put the pipes down, this whole thread is based on an APC company profile. Delta, SkyWest and ASA have made no announcements indicating this may happen. Since when did APC become the official source for fleet sizes and reductions?

Fuel cost per ASM is undoubtedly high. However, on overall cost, it might be comparable to larger aircraft given other cost factors are probably considerably more favorable. (i.e. crews, aircraft utilization, same-type fleet economies)

Just guessing. Maybe ATW publishes CASM for regionals. I'll check.....
