No one in the training department is saying any such stuff. Good rumor though.

I agree with OneEye. I was there for the 'Welcome to Piedmont' presentation. They did say they wanted some 100/200/300's but lease rates where way to high. The only mention of the -400, was how sweet it would look in the Airways livery! Which I agree with completely.

Haven't helped spread any juicy rumors lately so here goes. Have heard this from more than one person that Airways has approached PSA and PDT and have asked if they each could afford to lose 100-150 pilots this year to mainline.

Yes we can afford it. Let's get a flow through going. How else are we going to recruit people to work here?

That was actually the reason they want to do it. I guess Piedmont has expressed how difficult it is to find people. If they take 100 of our pilots that will allow for a lot of movement and growth. Hell, I would be happy to see 50 pilots leave. Any movement is good movement.

Ok something to think about? we got 12 guys waiting for a phone call to get their class date with mainline, and somehow they have not received it yet, while mainline is running new hire classes! We have something like 10 to 12 guys signed to take early retirement effective march 1st and somehow they were asked to stay longer, and who knows when they will be gone! None of our flight attendants got hire with mainline even the ones qualified to give training got rejected! So you really think SF will wake up in the morning and let 100 to 150 piedmont pilots go to mainline!!!!!! Any one that has been at piedmont long enough knows that SF will not do the right thing. At least we got upgrades going on right now, it's all about getting that first available class, build your 1000 hours PIC, and widening your opportunities to go else where.

If you want to get a good laugh, or just try to see how next month is going to be here look at the # of reserves system wide for April. I think it might be 4-5 system wide max.

So according to Ax Piedmont We's getting the island flying back up in Mass. . . . Whatever that's worth.

Yes. This is good news. If this all keeps up I may even be getting off reserve soon.
