4 jr FO's in the last month out of LGA realized that there is light at the end of the tunnel and got the FUNK out. Good for them, even better for us fools still here if we don't answer our phones for the impending junior man's!

Good on them. People leavin' left and right.. good, I hope more keep going. Hope you're having some luck too man.


The place wants you to believe they care about the pilot group, but I think their actions speak louder then words, especially in regards to the contract, no comments.. The pay is getting stupid low at this point compared to all the other places... hell even Colgan caught up to us practically..

Upgrade has made it to the class of 2007 finally, kind of exciting. But 2007 is such a big class it will be interesting to see how many of us can get it before the end of the year.

I wonder if they plan on an upgrade class each month? I know we can't afford to take a bunch of F.O.'s off the line for upgrade at one time. I've been on vacation for two weeks and have gotten 4 junior man calls.

That's intense. Four junior man calls on vacation!!! Can't really feel bad for the company, because they knew for a while it will get to this point, and they decided to drag their feet until the last minute to start upgrading and hiring. Now they delaying guys taking early retirements until who knows when because of the lack of pilots. The latest rumor concerning upgrade is, they will run a class each month until september. Then you will have other captains between now and september moving on to other flying opportunities, so my guess is they will upgrade for the rest of the year, unless we have another recession.

There's only like 7 of us left from 2006! This has a summer of 2007 feel to it....guys going to other regionals....junior manning like crazy....captains leaving in droves. I can't wait til these new-hires start leaving after 3 or 4 months and then go to regional of choice (just like in '07).

So, I guess the training department is telling the new hire's that there are 400's on the way and that 150 people are headed to mainline over the next year. I love it! They're so gosh darn creative down there!

*I'm sorry, let me correct myself. 360 people to mainline in the next year from PDT/PSA is what they're saying, I'm sorry for the lowball!

400's? SWEET!! Who told you this? I'm sure they left out the small piece of info that Colgan will be the ones operating those 400's for US Airways, not us. But he's right, they are on their way.

PSA is telling interviewees that they are going to start PIC typing new hires.
Funny thing is that it is not working.
